Wecker, on the battle wounds of soldiers, Elemi belongs to the same botanical family as Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) and Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha).  The Egyptians used Elemi for embalming and subsequent cultures discovered its benefits in skin care.
