About Vitex Essential Oil:

Vitex Essential Oil Croatia (Vitex angus), Vitex oil has a unique, spicy, woody, slightly sweet aroma. Vitex oil is a product of the steam distillation of aerial parts, leaves, and berries that come from the Chaste tree, which grows in tropical and subtropical regions. In Greek mythology Hera, the wife of Zeus, was said to have been born under a Chaste tree, so subsequently this plant became a symbol for women and is often found in more feminine blends. Vitex has been extensively researched in Europe for its effects on Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders.

Traditional Uses and Application for Vitex Essential Oil:

Traditional Uses:  Vitex has been extensively researched in Europe for its effects on Parkinson’s and other neurological disorders.  Application:  Diffuse or apply topically diluted with vegetable or massage oil for massage. Rub 2-3 drops in the palms, cup over the nose and inhale. Add 2-4 drops to 1 teaspoon salt and dissolve in warm bath water.
