Immune Blend Essential Oil
This is a powerful blend for building, strengthening, and protecting the body and supporting the immune system. Diffusing Immune Blend protects the home environment, especially during the seasons of cold and flu. Immune Blend has been found to help with symptoms of lupus and also inner ear infections.
Ingredients:
Mountain Savory (Satureja montana) – is antimicrobial and immune stimulating. It is antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-parasitic, and a general tonic for the body.
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris CT thymol) – is highly antimicrobial and antifungal. Thyme has been used for respiratory problems, digestive complaints, the prevention and treatment of infection, gastritis, bronchitis, pertussis,
asthma, laryngitis, and tonsillitis. It may also help with bacterial infections, respiratory infections, poor circulation, depression, digestion, headaches, insomnia, rheumatism, urinary infections, and viruses along the spine.
Lemon (Citrus limon) – has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. It increases microcirculation, which may improve vision. It may serve as an insect repellent and may be beneficial for the skin. It has been found to
promote leukocyte formation, dissolve cellulite, increase lymphatic function, and promote a sense of well-being. Its fragrance is stimulating and invigorating.
Ravensara (Ravensara aromatica) – is referred to by the people of Madagascar as the oil that heals. It is antiseptic, anti-infectious, antiviral,
anti-bacterial, antifungal, an expectorant and supporting to the nerves. Similar to clove and nutmeg, ravensara may aid the respiratory system and support the adrenal glands. It has been shown to help with flu, sinusitis, insomnia, muscle fatigue, and (rhinopharyngitis – inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose and pharynx, as in the common cold).
Oregana (Origanum compactum) – is one of the most powerful antimicrobial essential oils. Laboratory research at Weber State University showed it to have a 99 percent kill rate against in vitro colonies of Streptococcus pneumonia, a micro-organism responsible for many kinds of lung and throat infections. This oil is antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-parasitic.
Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) – commonly found in Egypt, helps with digestion and supports the immune system. It is antiseptic, antispasmodic, and carminative.
Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) – is antiviral, anti-infectious, antibacterial, and fights cold, flu, and infections. According to E. Joseph Montagna’s Herbal Desk Reference, tansy may improve weakness of the kidneys, heart, joints, and digestive system, and may help tone the entire body system.
Application:
Diffuse daily for 15-30 minutes every 3-4 hours or as needed. Massage on the bottom of the feet. Dilute 20-80 and apply Raindrop-style along the spine as needed. May also be rubbed on the throat and chest. Apply 2-3 drops to the thymus. Put 1 drop on a piece of cotton and place the cotton in the ear for earaches.
Companion Oils: Alternate with Antimicrobial Blend. Other single oils my be added for extra strength: rosewood, melissa, oregano, clove, cistus, frankincense, and mountain savory.
Safety Data: This Blend may be irritating to those with sensitive skin. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental eye contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye and call your doctor if necessary. Never use water to dilute or rinse.
