Circulation Blend Essential Oil
This blend may support cardiovascular, lymphatic, and circulatory systems helping to lower high blood pressure, reduce stress, and alleviate hemorrhoids.
Ingredients:
Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) – The genus name, solidago, comes from the Latin solide, which means “to make whole.” During the Boston Tea Party, when English tea was dumped into Boston Harbor, colonists drank goldenrod tea instead, which gave it the nickname “Liberty Tea.” Goldenrod helps to thin mucus secretions and relieve congested mucus. It promotes urination, cleans the kidney, reduces inflammation, and prevents infection.
Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) – is one of the oils used most for the circulatory and lymphatic systems. It may help alleviate edema, cellulite, varicose veins, and water retention. It is anti-infectious, antibacterial, antimicrobial, mucolytic, antiseptic, refreshing, and relaxing. It may help improve the cardiovascular system and circulation as well as help relieve other lymphatic and capillary problems.
Marjoram (Origanum majorana) – is used for calming the respiratory system and soothing sore and aching muscles. Marjoram may have a sedative effect and calm nervous tension. Marjoram helps regenerate smooth
muscle tissue, and assists in relieving spasms, sprains, bruises, and migraine headaches. It is antimicrobial, anti-infectious, antibacterial, antiseptic, and may work as a diuretic.
Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) – has been used traditionally tobalance heart function, having been used to treat tachycardia (rapid heart beat) and high blood pressure. Ylang Ylang has also been used for
insomnia, nervous depression, rage, and low self-esteem.
Application: Apply over the heart, on the feet, on the life line of the hand and under the ring finger, above the elbow, and behind the ring toe on the left foot. Dilute this blend 50-50 with a vegetable or massage oil for full body massage. It may also help to apply this blend along the spine from the first to the fourth thoracic vertebrae, which correspond to the cardiopulmonary nerves.
Companion Oils: Helichrysum, rosemary, ylang ylang, and Mood lifting Blend.
Safety Data:
This blend may be irritating to those with sensitive skin. Avoid eye contact. In case of accidental eye contact, put a few drops of any pure vegetable oil in the eye and call your doctor if necessary. Never use water to dilute or rinse.
