About Opoponax Absolute Oil:

Opoponax Absolute Oil Kenya (Commiphora erythraea), has an exceptionally sweet, balsamic, liqueur like aroma.  Because the plant source is closely related, Opoponax shares many of the same properties as Myrrh.  It’s commonly used in perfumery, incense, and herbal remedies.  Though not a true absolute, it is a sweet, very thick material, extracted with alcohol from a hydrocarbon solvent extracted resinoid.  It’s worth noting that this material may require a hot water bath before blending.

Action and Traditional Uses for Opoponax Absolute Oil:

Maybe benefitcial for respiratory support, muscular and joint comfort. This oil can be used in perfumery as a fixative, blended into cosmetic products, and incorporated in rituals and meditation as an aromatic resin. Opoponax oil can be used for balancing and calming due to stress and anxiety.
