Vetiver Essential Oil Steam Distilled Haiti (Vetiveria zizaniodes), this variety oil has a herbaceous, earthy, woody aroma and is steam distilled from our distillers in Haiti. Haitian Vetiver oil is highly sought after and is of our highest quality. For natural our perfumers, this Vetiver oil works great in higher end unisex blends. Vetiver oil naturally blends well with Clary Sage, Cedarwood, Myrrh, and Angelica Root.
Action and Traditional Uses for Vetiver Essential Oil:
Action: Vetiver is antiseptic, antispasmodic, calming, grounding, a rubefacient (locally warming), a sedtive (nervous system), and a stimulant (circulatory, production of red corpuscles). Traditional Uses: It is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is traditionally used for arthritic symptoms.
Other Uses and Application for Vetiver Essential Oil:
Other Uses: Vetiver may help acne, anxiety, arthritis, cuts, depression (including postpartum), insomnia, rheumatism, stress, skin care (oily, aging, irritated).
Application: Diffuse or apply topically, especially in a soothing massage. May be added to food or rice milk as a dietary supplement.
Fragrant Influence: Vetiver has a heavy, earthy fragrance similar to patchouli with a touch of lemon. It is psychologically grounding, calming and stabilizing. It helps one cope with stress and recover from emotional traumas and shocks.
