Clove Bud Essential Oil Super Madagascar (Eugenia caryophyllata), is often described as spicy, sweet, warm, and pleasant with fresh, fruity top note. Faint acetic nuances render it refreshing and superior to distillations from other parts of the plant. Originating in Madagascar, this particular Clove Bud Oil is our highest quality. It’s intended for higher quality blends and applications.
Action and Traditional for Clove Bud Super Essential Oil:
Clove is highly antimicrobial, antiseptic, analgesic, bactericidal, and is a powerful antioxidant. It is hemostatic (blood thinning) and is also anti-inflammatory. The people on the island of Ternate were free from epidemics until the 16th century, when Dutch conquerors destroyed the Clove trees that flourished on the islands. Many of the islanders died from the epidemics that followed. Eugenol, Clove’s principal consituent, is used in the dental industry for the numbing of gums. Courmont et al. demonstrated that a solution of .05% eugenol from Clove oil was sufficient to kill tuberculosis bacteria.

Infectious diseases, intestinal parasites, tuberculosis, respiratory, pain, toothache, scabies, and infected wounds. According to Jean Valnet, MD, Clove oil can prevent contagious diseases and may treat arthritis, bronchitis, cholera, cystitis, dental infection, amoebic dysentery, diarrhea, tuberculosis, acne, fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, halitosis, headaches, hypertension, insect bites, nausea, neuritis, dermatitis, rheumatism, sinusitis, skin cancer, chronic skin disease, bacterial colitis, sores (speeds healing of mouth and skin sores), viral hepatitis, warts, and lymphoma.
Application: Diffuse or apply diluted with a vegetable or massage oil. Add 1-2 drops in 4 fl. oz of water and use as a gargle. Apply neat on the palms of the hands, bottom of the feet, and on gums and teeth. 1-2 drops may be added to a glass of rice milk as a dietary supplement. For oral hygiene, rub on the gums surrounding an infected tooth. To break tobacco addiction, place a drop on tongue with finger. For tickling cough, put a drop on the back of the tongue.
