Carrot Seed Essential Oil France (Daucus carota), has a mild sweet top note, earthy, root like body notes, and woody, herbal low notes. Many natural perfumers say Carrot Seed oil blends well with Cypress, Citrus, Cassie, Geranium, Frankincense, and Cedarwood. Oriental and fantasy blends typically contain small quantities of Carrot Seed oil.
Action and Traditional Uses for Carrot Seed Essential Oil:
Action: Carrot Seed oil is antiseptic, carminative, diuretic, hepatic, a stimulant, vasodilator, and a smooth muscle relaxant. Traditional Uses: Carrot Seed oil was used for the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, and wrinkles and as an aid for dry skin. It is said to ease PMS, and has a tonic action on the liver and gallbladder. Carrot seed oil has been used for the treatment of jaundice.
Application: Apply topically.
