About Cardamom Essential Oil:
Cardamom Essential oil India (Elettaria cardamomum), has a sweet, spicy, warm aroma. Cardamom oil blends well with Bergamot, Cistus, Clove, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Orange, Neroli, Rose, and Ylang Ylang. It’s thought to be a very warming, calming aroma for times of sadness. Fragrant Influence: Cardamom is uplifting, refreshing, and invigorating.
Action and Traditional Uses for Cardamom Essential Oil:
Action: Cardamom is antispasmodic (neuro-muscular), antibacterial, an expectorant, and anti-infectious. Traditional Uses: Cardamom has been used for paralysis, rheumatism, cardiac disorders, epilepsy, spasms, pulmonary disease, digestive, intestinal, and urinary complaints.
Application: Diffuse, rub on the bottom of the feet, the stomach, the solar plexus, and the thighs.
Indications: Indigestion, loss of appetite, coughs, debility, halitosis, mental fatigue, headaches, heartburn, nausea, and sciatica. Cardamom may also alleviate menstrual problems and irregularities.
Fragrant Influence: Cardamom is uplifting, refreshing, and invigorating.
Companion Oils: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Cinnamon, Cistus, Clove, Neroli, Orange, Rose, and Ylang Ylang.
