This variety of Patchouli does tend to be less sweet than the Indian Patchouli, but still maintains the woody, fresh, smoky aroma. It blends well with Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, and Frankincense. Patchouli oil is very popular in aromatherapy, as well as a popular additive to soaps and candles.
Action Traditional Uses and Indications for Patchouli Essential Oil:
Action: Patchouli is soothing to digestion, a decongestant, is anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, antimicrobial, antiseptic, and soothes wrinkled or chapped skin. Traditional Uses: It is very beneficial for the skin and helps prevent wrinkles or chapped skin. It is a general tonic and stimulant and helps the digestive system. It also helps relieve itching. Indications: Allergies, dermatitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, and tissue regeneration.
Other Uses: This oil helps the body eliminate toxic material.
