About Yarrow Blue Essential Oil:

Yarrow Blue Essential Oil Bulgaria (Achillea millefolium), with a woody and slightly piney aroma, Blue Yarrow is a gentle, yet effective essential oil that is wonderful in its ability to help soothe and heal.  For many years, Blue Yarrow oil has been used to aid sleeping troubles or soothing the feeling of restlessness.  Native to Europe and Asia, Yarrow grows about 1-3 feet in height and produces beautiful white, lilac, or pink flowers with feathery leaves.  The herb is put through a steam distillation process to extract the essential oil which is thin and blue in color.

Action Traditional Uses and Indications for Blue Yarrow Essential Oil:

Action:  Yarrow is anti-inflammatory, reduces indigestion, reduces or prevents scarring, and promotes the healing of wounds.  Traditional Uses:  The Greek Achilles, hero of the Trojan War, was said to have used the Yarrow herb to help cure the injury to his Achilles tendon.  Yarrow was considered sacred by the Chinese, who recognized the harmony of the Yin and Yang energies within it.  It has been said that the fragrance of Yarrow makes possible the meeting of heaven and earth.  Yarrow was used by Germanic tribes for the treatment of battle wounds.  Indications:  Acne, appetite (lack of), bladder or kidney weakness, cellulite, respiratory infections, digestion (poor), menstrual problems, neuritis, neuralgia, pelvic and urinary infections, prostatitis, rheumatism, sprains, sunburn, thrombosis, ulcers, vaginitis, varicose veins, and wounds.
