About Amyris Essential Oil W.I. Sandalwood:
Amyris Essential Oil W.I. Sandalwood Haiti (Amyris balsamifera), also know as Western Indian Sandalwood or Indies Sandalwood, originates from the West Indies, specially in Haiti. This woody, herbaceous, dry oil is often used by perfumers as a fixative to extend the fragrant life of a blend. Amyris oil is said to have beneficial properties for the skin, well as lift the spirit and help instill a sense of calm. In the past, Amyris was used in the fragrance industry to mimic Vetiver essential oil and today both aromatherapists and perfumers may substitute Amyris oil for endangered or scarce species of Sandalwood.
